A LITTLE ABOUT THIS PLANT
Tradescantia Nanouk
In plant years, the Tradescantia Nanouk is practically a baby! Dating back to just 2012, when the plant was first developed in the Netherlands - a purposely engineered result of the cross-pollination of two Tradescantia albiflora seedlings. But you'll discover it's parent plant, part of the Commelinaceae family, is native to Central & South America, as well as Mexico.
This pretty plant has both brains and beauty! It's one of the best plants at absorbing harmful toxins from tech and gadgets, leaving the air in your room fresher and healthier.
Specifically designed for it's beautiful, colourful appearance, there's no surprise that it's become a must-have for passionate plant parents. When Fantasy Venice is happy and thriving, it can grow as long as trailing ivy - and if you're lucky, you may even find white & yellow flowers in spring time.
Mella’s Jungle care tips:
Light watering
She’s not a big drinker. If the top two inches of her soil feel dry it’s time for a drink. She’ll forgive irregular watering.
Bright light
She’ll be ok in medium light, but she’ll be really happy in quite a sunny spot. She’s not one for shade.
Humidity
She loves moisture in the air. She’ll enjoy a bright bathroom, or a misting every day or two.
